Are You Sleeping On New Healthcare Revenue: Worker Compensation

Writer: Bertram TurnerBertram Turner

Home Health, Home Care, Rehab Clinics, Nurses, Doctors & even Hospice Agencies can benefit greatly by contracting to provide services to injured worker under the Texas Worker Compensation program.

Traumatic Occupational Injuries are back on the rise due to a new hike in injured workers in Texas.

According to the U.S. BUREAU OF LABOR STATISTICS

"Private industry employers reported 2.8 million nonfatal workplace injuries and illnesses in 2022, up 7.5 percent from 2021, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported today. This increase is driven by the rise in both injuries, up 4.5 percent to 2.3 million cases, and illnesses up 26.1 percent to 460,700 cases".

This trickle-down effect creates a need for ancillary providers to make themselves available the handle this growing problem. Home Health and Home Care workers are especially needed due to the fact that most support will be required in the home. These providers can fill a void in Occupational Medicine that’s been a looming issue for years. Medicare, Medicaid, and Private Insurance has always been the favored payers, however this may soon change.

The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics projects that "more than 275,000 additional nurses are needed from 2020 to 2030, and that employment opportunities for nurses will grow at 9 percent, faster than all other occupations from 2016 through 2026".

So don’t sleep on like the rest do. Get contract with the Texas Worker Comp program. Rest assured another source of revenue definitely won’t hurt. We have attached a Link Below so that your Agency can get more information on getting contracted.
